Rodney "Rocky" Joseph

Rodney “Rocky” Joseph is the rhythmic force driving Billy King and the Bad Bad Bad, bringing a global perspective and unparalleled energy to the band’s dynamic sound. Born in Karachi, Pakistan, and later raised in the vibrant cultural melting pot of New York City, Joseph’s journey to becoming the drummer for one of rock’s most electrifying bands is as unique as his style behind the kit.

Growing up in Karachi, Joseph was immersed in a rich tapestry of sounds, from traditional South Asian rhythms to the global influences that seeped into his everyday life. His passion for drumming began early, sparked by family celebrations where music was always at the center. By the time he moved to New York City as a teenager, Joseph was already honing his craft, blending the percussive traditions of his roots with the pulsating energy of the city’s underground music scene.

In New York, Joseph played with a variety of bands, cutting his teeth in everything from jazz ensembles to punk rock collectives. His ability to adapt to different genres and inject his playing with both technical precision and raw emotion set him apart as a drummer to watch. But the frenetic pace of New York wasn’t enough to contain his restless spirit. Seeking new challenges and a deeper connection to music, Joseph packed up his drums and made his way to Austin, Texas.

Riley Sklar

Riley Sklar joined Billy King and the Bad Bad Bad alongside drummer Rodney “Rocky” Joseph in 2024, locking in the band’s thunderous rhythm section. A former member of the punk collective The Lewd Dudes, Sklar’s basslines are a perfect mix of grit and groove, bringing a dynamic energy that drives the band’s unmistakable sound.

Sklar first met William “Billy King” Reynolds in college, where late-night jam sessions and a shared love of rock ‘n’ roll laid the foundation for their future collaboration. When the opportunity arose to join Reynolds' rising band at SXSW, Sklar jumped at the chance, adding his signature style to their music.

On stage, Sklar’s presence is magnetic, with basslines that pulse through every track, tying together the band’s raw power and melodic edge. Offstage, his camaraderie and creative spirit are integral to the band’s chemistry, making him not just a bassist, but an essential part of Billy King and the Bad Bad Bad’s heart and soul.
