About Introspective Resolute
Share
Introspective Resolute is a collection of songs with an overarching theme of internal reflection and vulnerability. It’s a journey of use and abuse, self destruction, internal reflection, and resolution. Naturally, along with this tale is the disdain of our political landscape.
The resilience within the journey is heartwarming and strengthening; it’s the belief within oneself that you can overcome and achieve anything you set your mind to. Songs like Colorful, That’s Just Who I Am, and Heartbreaker talk about the vibrant colorful lives we live and being your truest self no matter what, even in the depths of self sabotage.
This ties into There’s An Evil at Camp Creek which has a horror theme of an evil creature lurking in the darkness seeking to devour your soul. This was derived from the fever dreams of withdrawals. The album does have a turn to becoming the light from within the darkest depths to portray championing personal addictions and the capacity of growth through change.
The songs Introspective Resolute, Uncertainty, and Re-Animated show the raw honesty of discovering the true freedom and power within yourself to battle your own demons and overcome them. Alright (Believe in What You Say) mirrors this attitude. It’s about believing and trusting in yourself, no matter what others may say, and will be alright; this too shall pass.
Finally this brings in Dedication and Show and Tell. These are songs about our capitalist society, media framing and agenda setting, and the attempt to control the narrative when passing legislation for the benefit of the few over the many and the benefit of corporations over the average tax paying citizen. It’s about who is standing up for the people who truly matter.
Overall, the album tells the tale of this journey with thought and intention. The goal of the album is to bring attention to the trials and tribulation of addiction and the struggles a lot of people are dealing with. The goal is to bring a voice to the power of believing in yourself, that through all of life’s challenges you can do what you truly want for yourself if you believe in it enough and work hard to achieve it.
